Welcome to a Fly on the Wall group post. Today 7 bloggers are inviting you to catch a glimpse of what you’d see if you were a fly on the wall in our homes. Come on in and buzz around my house.
My daughter tried to introduce her children to the wonderful world of chicken alfredo. My grandson took one look and said, “I’ll take pizza”. Sarah said, “we aren’t having pizza we’re having chicken alfredo”. He looks back to his plate and says, “put cheese on it”. He’s almost three.
Yesterday we spent the day with the twins and momma. First, on our list was shoe shopping for the kids. Now, I’ve been through a lot in my life. Car wrecks, my child being deployed to war, loss, you know life’s heartaches, trials, tribulations. I have to say that taking two almost-three-year-olds shoe shopping has to rate up there somewhere around surgery with no anesthesia. I was done before we ever made it to the park.
My granddaughter had to go to school for a part of her physical therapy and the nurse wanted her to walk up and down the stairs. Of course, they have mastered steps from the many trips up and down mine. Grandaughter walks up and turns around to walk down and about half way down she looks up the teacher and asks, “are we gonna to go smop?” Oops! Yes, we still smoke, but when I do I go outdoors and I take them out with me…sort of like walking a dog.
It’s been a quiet one around here this month and I am grateful for that. The other night temperatures were finally cooler than the eyeball-melting crap we have had lately. We had been playing out in the “back yar” said like a two-year-old pirate and decided to eat dinner on the back patio. As you can see, it felt better than even I thought!
