Welcome to the eleventh edition in our “Women In Biz All Around WordPress” feature that will run the 1st Sunday of every month. It’s a new series where we spotlight amazing women and the ways in which they have used WordPress to spread their message, sell their products, or provide valuable services.

The hope is to inspire other midlife women to build their online businesses and find what we’re all looking for; financial freedom, a lifestyle they love, and excitement they may have been missing! All of these women are current or former clients of mine who have inspired me over the years and I think they will inspire you as well.

This month I want to introduce you to a client & friend (actually I’ve become friends with all of my clients in some way or another), but Claudia is a Warrior Queen in my book. She has beaten Breast Cancer and continues to inform and educate the rest of us.

SHE is the reason I remember to get my mammogram every year. She was also a great comfort when momma was diagnosed with Metastatic Breast Cancer. She talked me off of the ledge many times (figuratively not literally). Anyway enough from me I want to tell you about her and her website MYLEFTBREAST.NET

Tell us a little bit about you
I’m an empty nester wife and mom with two kids in their early 20’s, a marketing executive with my own very successful marketing consulting firm, and a blogger, where I write about my experience since life with breast cancer in 2010.
What made you first decide to build a blog or website? How long have you had your site?
I got breast cancer in January of 2010 and decided to write about it afterward so that I could help other women who were going through breast cancer with what I learned from my own experience going through chemotherapy, reconstruction, and life after breast cancer. I’ve been blogging on and off for 10 years.
What is your niche?
My niche is my experiences during and after my breast cancer diagnosis in 2010. I write about how its impacted my life for both the good and the bad.
Of all of your blog posts or pages on your site which is your favorite?
The one I wrote about how my parents disowned me when I was 19 and what I learned from the experience. https://myleftbreast.net/2014/09/becoming-a-parent-changed-the-way-i-saw-my-own-parents.html/

and the one that is most relevant to anyone who has just been diagnosed with breast cancer is this one: The 7 Things I Wish I Knew When I Was First Diagnosed With Breast Cancer

What is your favorite social media platform and why?
My favorite social media platform is Facebook, although lately, I have a love/hate relationship with it. I love the fact that I can reach others with breast cancer about my experience and I like the fact that people can connect with me easily. I hate the fact that FB is so annoying and changes its rules almost every month!
Do you find WordPress easy to maneuver or do you avoid the back end like the plague?
I have no idea how it works, other than doing a blog post. Rena does all the back end stuff for me. I love the way it looks but it’s a bit confusing!
Is your site a business that makes money or a passion that makes your heart sing?
It makes my heart sing, but I haven’t monetized it as I want to reach as many women with my message of empowerment about how to deal with breast cancer as possible and don’t want to make money off of anyone else’s cancer.
If you use your site for business what do you sell or what service do you provide?
I don’t use my blog for my business, but as a resource for women who have been recently diagnosed with breast cancer. I share my experiences with them so that they can learn from what I went through.
What is one thing you’d like people to know about you?
That I’m a very independent woman who loves her family, her work and her life.
Isn’t she amazing! Head over to her website MYLEFTBREAST.NET. We are all either a survivor of breast cancer or no someone who has. One of my favorite sayings is “Knowledge Is Power”.
