Welcome to the eleventh edition in our “Women In Biz All Around WordPress” feature that will run the 1st Sunday of every month. It’s a new series where we spotlight amazing women and the ways in which they have used WordPress to spread their message, sell their products, or provide valuable services.
The hope is to inspire other midlife women to build their online businesses and find what we’re all looking for; financial freedom, a lifestyle they love, and excitement they may have been missing! All of these women are current or former clients of mine who have inspired me over the years and I think they will inspire you as well.
Jennifer or Jenn as I call her is a woman who has experienced hardships but you would never know it to talk to her. She is not only innately kind, but she also lives a life geared toward health and wellness & they are her middle names!
From hula hooping to mindful eating she definitely practices what she preaches. She offers healthy recipes, hula hoop classes, Food Over Medicine classes & she is the creator of Meet Your Energy Body Program. She also offers Reiki & health coaching. If you’re about getting healthier this year you should definitely pay a visit to MY ENERGY SHIFT.
Tell us a little bit about you
I offer a variety of services to promote healthy living. I offer classes to help people transition to a plant-based diet. Locally, I also do Reiki sessions and hula hoop classes.
What made you first decide to build a blog or website? How long have you had your site?
I have had my site for about 2 years. If a business is to thrive and grow, a website is essential.
What is your niche?
Healthy living and plant-based eating and recipes.
Of all of your blog posts or pages on your site which is your favorite?
My blog page in general where I share a variety of plant-based recipes and other tips to help people live the healthiest life they can live.
What is your favorite social media platform and why?
Facebook only because I am most familiar with it. I want to get into Instagram too at some point but I am not as comfortable with that platform.
Do you find WordPress easy to maneuver or do you avoid the back end like the plague?
I have no problem posting blogs and updating my pages. I am not as comfortable when it comes to the more technical aspects of WordPress like SEO.
Is your site a business that makes money or a passion that makes your heart sing?
It’s a passion right now. I make a little money, but definitely have to supplement my income.
If you use your site for business what do you sell or what service do you provide?
Reiki sessions, hula hoop classes, Food Over Medicine classes [LINKS ABOVE]
What is one thing you’d like people to know about you?
I have learned so much in the past few years about how to live the healthiest life I can. I think many of the things I share on my blog are not commonly known and are certainly not mainstream. Educating others is a passion.
