Welcome to a Secret Subject Swap. This week 8 brave bloggers picked a secret subject for someone else and were assigned a secret subject to interpret in their own style. Today we are all simultaneously divulging our topics and submitting our posts.
My “Secret Subject” is:
You’ve been gifted with an all expenses paid adventure. You can do anything you want, go anywhere you want, stay gone as long as you want, and bring three people with you. Where do you go? What do you do? What do you eat? Who do you bring with you? Tell us the details.

Thank you Jules!
All expenses paid I wish oh how I wish! We’ve decided we’re tired of waiting to hit the Powerball so we’ve decided to go at it alone. But if all expenses were paid there’s this little Mercedez RV that I’d love to have for a mere $135,000 just sayin’.
I’d definitely skip that third person, hubby and I are ready to spend some quality alone time together. Believe it or not, I don’t have huge dreams of traveling abroad. I have a few places that I’d like to see before I die like Ireland, London the Eiffel Tower but it doesn’t have the pull that Alaska does.f
Oh Alaska, I fell in love with the idea of going there when I was about 8 years old and saw my very first episode of Grizzly Adams. I didn’t realize it then, but I was drawn to it like a moth to light. Every episode I drove my parents crazy! I loved him, I loved Gentle Ben the Bear and even that old mountain man with his cantankerous donkey.
As I got older I wanted to fly a bush plane and deliver mail and packages, but it has always been Alaska. Something about its beauty, its ruggedness that calls to me. I watch every show about it, I read books about it, movies and so on.
So, that’s where I’m going and even if I had all of the money I ever wanted I’d still go to Alaska with my hubby. June 1st we’re on our way, but not just to Alaska we’re going on a huge road trip. I mentioned it a few weeks ago and we’re still very much in the planning process but we have a roundabout route fixed, now I just need to narrow it down to specifics.
We’re going up the east coast, across Canada (yes, Diane! I’m coming to Canada let’s do lunch!!!) to Alaska, then down to Washington to hopefully see my friend Lana & you too Carol!) on down the west coast to San Francisco to see my partner in crime Carol & hopefully the lovely Contessa.
We’ll then head back across the midwest where I’m hoping to talk my dear friend Karen into meeting for lunch! I want to meet as many of my blogging friends as possible on my round trip. I’ve come to depend on these women, to love these women, and hopefully now to actually meet these women IRL. This is the image I shared last time I mentioned the trip. Do you live in these areas? Have you ever met any of your blogging buddies in real life?
I know I didn’t strictly follow my prompt to the letter, but I hope Jules will forgive me. My husband says I don’t talk about anything else these days!
